Ergopro.com was founded in 1996. Since then, Ergopro.com has provided ergonomic office products and crucial information about ergonomic computer workstations and green office products.
The company's present owners, Shelby Robinson and Michael Balogh, are committed to improving your comfort in the office, as well as the health of our planet. They have brought to the company a great concern for the environment. They are excited to offer well-designed, durable products that help people feel more comfortable, and items that are designed and manufactured in ways that minimize their environmental impact. Their passionate interest in "green" office products is a natural extension of Ergopro's focus on total office health and well-being. They are happy to support companies that are committed to mitigating their environmental impact as much as possible.
Michael has spent most of his working life as a woodworker, cabinet maker, and designer. His approach to design has always been aimed at making things easier and more comfortable for everyone involved; he naturally incorporated ergonomics into every aspect of his work. Michael also completed the Green Building Certificate class at Colorado State University. This, along with his vast experience in designing office cabinets and working with individuals and their specific needs, led him to home and office ergonomics and a focus on sustainability.
Shelby has a background in both art and psychotherapy. She has completed extensive training in the Hakomi method of body-centered, mindfulness psychotherapy at The Hakomi Institute in Boulder, Colorado. She received her M.A. in art therapy from the University of Louisville in Kentucky and her B.A. in psychology ( with a minor in fine arts) from the University of Michigan. Art, creativity, good design, concern for the environment, and helping people feel healthier and happier- these have always been the focus of Shelby's life. She is fascinated by the connection between our minds and bodies and has practiced yoga and meditation for many years. In addition to owning ergopro.com, Shelby Robinson is a contemporary bead and textile artist.
For Shelby and Michael, the transition to ergonomics and 'green' products was quite natural and easy. They have both always worked to help people be more comfortable in their everyday lives and activities. Ergopro.com combines all their interests in a practical way.
